From coast to coast July brings a very busy time to many Simmental junior cattle show exhibitors. Everything from county fairs, jackpot shows, state fairs, and national junior shows are filling up families calendars. All the blood, sweat, tears, long days, hots days, good days, and bad days have been experienced leading up to long anticipated trips. This summer the ASJA national classic was held in College Station, Texas.  A couple hundred families packed their trailers and headed south to endure the heat and compete. Carli Henderson of Iowa and her family took STF Bianca (a purchase from last years production sale) an ONYX X Broker female showed her and came out 5th overall Purebred Simmental heifer. Way to go Carli and Bianca, you have made quite a successful team this year!
STF is very proud of Carli and each and every one of the junior exhibitors. We think the American Junior Simmental Association offers some of the greatest experiences available to youth. Some times you win, some times you lose but most importantly it's about what you learn and the lessons you take away from these journeys in life.
