January is in the books and February seems to be passing by just as fast. We would like to recap our January at Silver Towne Farms for you....

Denver preparations and calving season seemed to creep upon us fast. Calves started to hit the ground running and Denver bulls were coming together quite nicely. So as day to day chores, checking, feeding, clipping, and packing took all the hours of the day things ended up falling just as they needed in place.

The National Western Stock Show held in Denver, Colorado blessed us with beautiful lots of beautiful weather and many Simmental enthusiast visiting the pens. Show day was a success, STF bulls were named Res Grand Champion pen of 3 purebred Simmental bulls. While all our bulls looked really good it was STF Royal Affair who stole the hearts of many pen visitors. Be sure to check him out on our bull page.
We would also like congratulate Jordon Simmentals on their NWSS Grand Champion Junior Show Female sired by STF Shocking Dream. Nothing is more rewarding to us as breeders than the success of our customers have incorporating our genetics in their programs!

Meanwhile back in Indiana calves were hitting the ground at a rapid rate with sub zero temperatures! To our advantage calves adapted awesome and the hit the ground running! Calls started flooding the phone line with breeders getting their first progeny hitting the ground out of STF genetics. Happy customers make those cold & long days a little more bearable and waking up tomorrow to brave the elements of mother nature a little easier!

We wish everyone a prosperous calving season and look forward to warmer days around the corner!
